Problem Statement

Children born with visual impairments often face challenges when it comes to learning about color relationships. Due to their limited ability to perceive color, they may struggle to grasp concepts that many others take for granted. Nevertheless, it is important for these children to develop an understanding of color associations, as this knowledge can significantly enhance their cognitive and social development.

Design Process

• Step 1: Research the use of color and shapes to improve learning for visually impaired children.
• Step 2: Analyze how textures and tactile features can be incorporated into cube designs for sensory feedback.
• Step 3: Iterate on cube designs based on feedback from user testing with children and educators.
